| 2010 DRY CREEK SAUVIGNON BLANC
Wine Description
Intense, fresh aromas of lime zest, green melon and lemon thyme, followed up by crisp acidity, vibrant citrus flavors and hints of tangerine and freshly cut grass.
Winemaker Notes Though known as a warm area that is ideal for ripening big reds like Zinfandel, the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County receives enough cooling coastal fog during the growing season to moderate the climate in the valley floor. It is in these deep alluvial soils where Sauvignon Blanc has flourished and garnered Dry Creek Valley's reputation as an excellent white wine producing area as well.
No barrels or malolactic fermentation were used during the winemaking process. The grapes were gently pressed and cold fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve their crisp, fruity flavors.
Food Recommendations This lively, refreshing wine is an excellent pairing for shellfish and ceviche, spicy Asian dishes and summer salads.
